COGNITIVE ENGINEERING AND THE SECRET OF THE MODERNS

This blog is about cognitive engineering and what it might do for people. Not particularly for psychologists. Like any sub-domain in psychology, cognitive engineering gives psychologists jobs, publications, and dissertation topics. But with a name like engineering, it is supposed to produce something of practical use. So the main thing I will do here is talk about practical uses that I think may be emerging from cognitive engineering.

Talk is cheap and worth every penny of it.
These uses may be of interest to people interested in topics like self-improvement, education, training, marketing, product design, and web services. Not to mention people in cognitive engineering.

You just did mention it.
The organizing principle here will be topics of current interest. Maybe from the news. Maybe from reader comments. Maybe from my colleague Don Dansereau. Maybe from other sources. I run a website at thinkerer.org, so I may post about issues that come up there. I will try to post every weekend.
This blog is open for comment: questions, suggestions, and alternative views are welcome.
